What is IVF?
and What is ICSI?

IVF (in vitro fertilisation) is a treatment where eggs are collected from the ovaries and joined with sperm in our laboratory. The resulting embryo is placed back into your womb, with the aim of a pregnancy. Where sperm quality is a factor, we add ICSI.

IVF may be right for you if:
  • You are under 35 and have been trying for a year or more.
  • You are over 35 and have been trying for six months.
  • Other treatments such as IUI have not worked.
  • You have a diagnosis such as endometriosis or blocked tubes.
  • You are building your family with donor eggs or sperm.
